Snact Review

Hello there,

A while back I was sent some great snacks to review.  They’re called Snact; and are 100% natural, healthy, vegan and gluten-free fruit jerky.  I was sent a bag of their apple and mango, and a bag of their apple and raspberry jerky to review, and they’re perfect for snacking on the go.

I managed to record a great video of Theo giving his unbiased review of them but unfortunately my blog server won’t allow me to post videos.  Thus I’m just going to have to review them the standard way.

We’re big snackers in our house so one afternoon recently Theo, Annie and I cracked open the Snacts.  Theo loved them, particularly the apple and mango flavour.

Unfortunately, the texture was a bit tough for Anwen (she’s almost 18 months and despite having most of her teeth in hasn’t completely mastered the art of chewing foods).  I really enjoyed both flavours, and I love that they’re made from surplus produce.

I would definitely have them again for Theo and I to snack on and fulfil our sweets cravings.  Happy snacking!

Love Shea

I’m not one for new year’s resolutions anymore, but I do like to try to use the new year as an opportunity to start a new healthy habit or work on an unhealthy habit.  I mean this in the very loosest of terms.  This year I have decided to focus a little more on self-care.  The last 3.5 years have been about pregnancies and babies and now that this part of our life is over (sob) I’m trying to move forward.

I’ve kept my self-care intention very simple – to wash my face every night.  I know, shame on me.  Honestly, it’s only recently that i’ve started taking my mascara off before bed time; and that’s only because it irritates my eyes.  Anyway, I’ve discovered this great product that fits my new intention perfectly.  Nature’s Gold Argan Face Serum by Love Shea.  I was chatting to my friend about it and she was saying that Argan Oil is a all the rage in the beauty world.  Who knew.

It’s consistency is a little oily (duh), so you only need a very small amount, which means it’ll last a good while.  IMG_1462

(Excuse my hands – they suffer terribly in the winter).

After using it my face feels like it’s had a mini facial.  And due to it being an oil rather than a cream, it’s perfect for me as an overnight moisturiser.  My new favourite beauty find.

Please note: This review has been organised by the Vegan Lifestyle Association. It has not been paid for and the products were sent free of charge. Nonetheless this is my genuine and unbiased review of the product.
