Yup, inventive post title.
Sorry I’ve been rather absent from the blogsphere this week. I’ve still been reading my fave blogs (you know who you are, Averie, Gena, Elise et al) but I’ve been trying to focus on writing an incredibly boring essay. Hence essay face below. Gormless? I think so.
This essay is seriously disempowering me. So much so that I went out last night, let loose a bit too much, and had a few too many glasses of wine. Yup, we’ve all been there. I forgot about the amount of self-loathing and regret one can feel on the morning after. Ah well, these things happen. Fortunately for me, the sun is shining and I am happily munching on my fave laptop lunch of salad dressed with this, plus an unpictured stealthy packet of Walkers Ready Salted crisps and a muffin (read: hangover food).
Hummus and I are on a break, as are peanut butter and I. Absence makes the heart grow fonder for sure. Another plus: I skipped the second half of my sociology lecture on power which, strangely enough, was also making me feel disempowered. This lady can only cope with so much institutionalisation. And, whilst I don’t have any new recipes to share, I did bake my coconut-ginger muffins again:
I forgot how good they were!
Oh, and Tom bought me these lovely flowers on monday to celebrate St. David’s day (thanks for all your lovely comments); he couldn’t find any daffodils.
That’s it for now; just thought I’d check in to let you know that I’m still alive and just plodding on with uni work. Ooo, and my friend had a little baby girl called Madeliene Ava which is very exciting (congrats Carrie!). Who said life was all bad? What positive things in your life are you celebrating today?
