Day 4

Bore da!

As clearly stated by the title (just in case you’re not awake yet…), I am now on day 4 of my cleanse.  The last three days have had their ups and downs, but generally I’m feeling good.  I haven’t missed wine at all, but I have had the odd desire for caffeine, and daily sweet cravings.  Thus, for the last two days I have had to depend on one of the cheat foods, dark chocolate.  It’s amazing how one square of such awesomeness can do the trick.  How I love thee, dark chocolate (70% minimum cocoa, of course).  Oh, and yesterday was my first ever ALL raw day.  Amazing!  In the afternoon I had a major energy slump (that’s when the chocolate came to the rescue) but by dinner time I was full of energy, which carried on throughout my evening yoga class.  Woo woo!  The afternoon energy slump may have something to do with the fact that I was trying to get through work on catheterisation, injections, and paediatric life support (only managed to complete the work on the latter).  But today, I am awake and I am ready for day 4.

Here’s a brief recap on my lunch and dinner yesterday.  Above is my lunch and below is my dinner.  Probably not very exciting as my dinner was a variation of my lunch because a certain Spicy Thai Salad Dressing tasted SO good.  The pictures are pretty though 🙂

I stuffed this lot into a few romaine lettuce leaves as so:

Sorry today’s post is a little short, I will be back with a lengthier one shortly, hopefully.  Now for breakfast and studying!  I’m going to nail my injections and catheterisation work today.  (Note the positive thinking, impressive).

  1. After a round of breast cancer and its necessary treatments, I got turned on to Kris Carr and her Crazy Sexy Life website. You may want to check it out, as it has an amazing array of information related to nutrition, cleanses, and so forth — great for anyone. Here’s the website:

  2. Noswaith dda 🙂 hey well done you on your day 4 cleanse:),both meals look lovely and I have copied down the Thai dressing although I am the only one who like avocados!!! I know exactly what you mean about the caffeine and sweet cravings,I have just tried some Mulu raw chocolate wow, although Aldi (which unfortunately for me is round the corner from my house)sells 70% dark heaven and is too easily accessible but I do limit myself to a square and not the whole bar:) I suffer a lot of energy slumps too! Positive thinking is kinder to the soul here’s to the successful completion of your injection and catheterisation:) becky x

  3. Haven’t tried the Mulu raw chocolate yet (it’s expensive isn’t it). I will be reviewing some other raw chocolate on here soon though 🙂 I’m the only one who likes avos as well, they’re just so good! Once this cleanse is done I will be back to indulging in my dark chocolate, yum. You’re right, positive thinking is the way to go x

  4. Thanks for reading dana, and thanks for the tip about crazysexylife. Checked out the site- it looks great! All the best with your health journey xx

  5. You can most certainly place css iidnse of the header and reference that css to style your webapp. The custom theme part is to make use of the data-theme option. Makes it easier to keep the main styles from jquery mobile but change colors. No need to resize the image with php, just using css to size the image would be fine as long as it’s done proportional.Best practice will be how your really suppose to implement new themes. You can predict jquery will eventually come out with a new theme rollers to apply your own data-them. However, until then, then is just another way to do it.Let me know if I have answered your questions or if I could help more!.Thanks,
