Cafe Mao

I never did share with you the amazing discovery Tom and I made in Dublin earlier on in the year, did I?  It was this…

Gluten free greatness

Gluten free greatness continued

This has to be the most coeliac-friendly restaurant I have ever been to.  What sets it apart is that they have a separate menu specifically for coeliacs (as well as main menu for those without dietary restrictions) and they understand the needs of someone with coeliac disease; for example, they asked me if I had lactose intolerance (50% of coeliacs are lactose intolerant).  Honestly, I have never had so much choice as to what to eat nor have I experienced such peace in a restaurant; there is always a niggle in the back of my mind that I’m going to get glutened. Tom and I shared chicken satays for starter and then I had a delicious thai green curry as a main.  I would recommend this restaurant to coeliacs and non-coeliacs as we both really enjoyed our meals.  Curious to find out more; here’s their website:  Oh how I wish there was one in Bristol…
